Paul Merwart or Paweł Merwart (1855 – 1902) was a French-Polish painter.
His father was a Frenchman living in Congress Poland, his mother a Pole. He spent his youth in Poland, then travelled around Europe, studying art, and settled in France, where he worked for the Naval Ministry, Colony Department. Thus he traveled further around the world, and many of his paintings have exotic themes related to French colonies.
