He collaborated with his son, John Abbey Young, who would hire some altarpieces after 1490. His style fits into the gothic Spanish flamenco, influenced by Jaume Huguet and Pedro Garcia Benabarre, so he may have been a Catalan . Among the documented works are the altars of Santa Catalina (1490) of the Church of the Magdalena de Huesca, now dispersed, the Saviour in the chapel of Broto, preserved in the Museum of Zaragoza and Santo Domingo in Almudévar (Huesca), which was known as Master Almudévar to correct identification by Ricardo del Arco.
