Artist Index Jocelyne Alloucherie, OC (born February 8, 1947) is a Canadian sculptor and academic. Born in Quebec City, Alloucherie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Université Laval in 1971 and a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1981 from Concordia University.[1] She has taught visual arts and art history at the Université Laval, the Université du Québec à Montréal, Concordia University and the University of Ottawa.[2] Honours In 2000, she was awarded the Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts in recognition for being a "seminal artist of her generation".[2] In 2002, she was awarded the Quebec government's Prix Paul-Émile-Borduas.[3] In 2008, she was made an Officer of the Order of Canada "for her contributions to the visual arts as an internationally renowned sculptor".[4] References 1. ^ "Jocelyne Alloucherie".
