Gian-Francesco de Maineri or Francesco Maineri or Gianfrancesco Maineri (Ferrara, c. 1460 to 1535) was an Italian painter active mainly in the area of Ferrara and Parma in Emilia-Romagna.

Gian-Francesco Maineri is an Italian artist known for painting religious pieces sophisticated. There is little information about his life but was given its location associated with the Ferrara School of Painting and in this city he has executed most of its work.

At the National Gallery in London is kept painting Virgin and Child enthroned between a soldier and saint John the Baptist, begun by Maineri and completed by another artist of Ferrara, Lorenzo Costa (1460-1535).
