Christian Berentz

Christian Berentz (1658–1722) was a German painter. Berentz was born in Hamburg, Germany and in the later half of the 1680's, traveled to Rome where he settled. He lived in the house of Marchese Pallavicini. Berentz painted primarily still lifes, and was important, because he introduced North European themes.[1] He died in Rome in 1722.[2]
