Adelard Covarsí Yustas (Badajoz, April 24, 1885 - Badajoz, 1951) was a Spanish painter of outstanding technical and with a work marked by traditional themes, rural, hunting and landscapes of Extremadura.
 

 Work

His work emphasizes his interest in landscapes and sunsets autumn, with a pinkish color that permeated in the clouds and skies own dehesas of Extremadura. Meseteños fields are collected by Covarsí often marked by a castle and steep rocks. Until Covarsí, no landscape had portrayed the countryside of Extremadura and it shows him on the pretext of hunting.

The number and success of his paintings of subjects venatorios, family environment and their personal hobby Covarsí have to label as a painter of Extremadura lumber camps. In his paintings of hunting scenes reflects the end of the day, shows no sets or arrests.

Cultivated with great success the portrait. It also has a series of paintings of fishermen, sailors and anonymous celebrities.

The traditional themes that are dealt celebrations and processions, with taste in costumes.

Beginning in 1903, studied at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. In 1907 he held the position of Professor of Drawing at the School of Arts and Crafts Badajoz. Traveling in Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Britain and the Netherlands to complete his training.

Developed an important cultural work from his position as Director of the School of Arts and Crafts in Badajoz and as first Director of the Museum of Fine Arts in Bangkok, established in 1922. He received the Medal of Honor from the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in 1948
